It Didn't Credit...What do I do now?

Alright, its a sad fact of this business that there will be a certain percentage of offers that you do that, no matter how well you follow the directions:

  • you turn off pop-up blockers and firewalls
  • you clear your cookies
  • you leave the order confirmation page up for at least 5 mins

Yet, you will still end up with some offers that do not end up giving you credit. It can end up being a problem with either the freebie (IFW) site or the offer itself, or just an anomoly.

First of all---you need to know that the crediting times on the advertisements on each site can be misleading.

"Instant" can mean anything from 1 minute to 18 hours.

"Instant to 1 Day" is more honest.

Most of the offers that say 1-7 days are being truthful, I have mostly only done offers that say "instant" so I don't have a lot to offer there.

So~~You've waited 24 hours, now what?

  • Log into the site with your email and password. Depending on the site, the support area you need will be either under "Support" or "Support>missing credit"
  • If there is a link for "missing credit report" or something similar, click that and then be prepared to pick the date you ordered the offer, and then copy/paste the full headers and all of the confirmation email from the offer you completed.
  • If there is no link other than "support," ---For the Subject, write "Manual Credit Request: Title of your Offer" (where "Title of your Offer" is the name of what you signed up for, ie "chuck mullaney's ebay)
  • In the "Body" of the support ticket, you must paste the contents including headers of the "welcome" or "confirmation" email that you received when you signed up for/ordered the product or service. (For instructions on finding the headers of the confirmation email, see below)
  • Once you submit your support ticket/missing credit report, you may have to wait several days before it even gets read, let alone gets sent to the vendor. This is one reason to see the next blog post >>>>>

To find the total headers of the email you need:

  • Gmail: Next to the time stamp at the top right of the email, click on the down arrow to the right of "reply." Left click "show original." It will open in a new window. Just "select all" and "copy" and then "paste" it into the support ticket.

  • Hotmail:1. If you are using the classic version: Once you log in to your hotmail account, (before clicking on inbox), near the top center you will see: You are using the classic version of Windows Live Hotmail.Have a fast connection and want more features? Try the full versionClick Full VersionOnce you see your inbox, find the email you need the headers for.Do NOT open the email. Right click the name of the email, and click on View source. It will give you everything you need to copy and paste. It worked for me!2. If you already use the full version, just right click on the name of the email, click View Source, and it will bring up a page to copy and paste. (thanks to "lostsprings")

  • Yahoo: just click on the email you need the headers for and then click where it says Compact Header (top right corner of the email) and this will bring down a list. Click on Full Header and it will pop up in a separate window. Right click and Select All. Right click again and Copy. Then, Paste to your support ticket/credit request ticket. At least, that's how I do it and it works like a charm! Hope this helps! (Thanks to "premierdreams")

  • Yahoo (2): At the bottom of the confirmation email I have received from an offer on the right is a place that says "full headers". I just click on that. The email is then transformed with full headers and all the info I need. I then copy and paste the whole email and use that. Yahoo makes it really easy!! It must be ok because I have used it in the credit request areas and it is accepted. (Thanks to "lvmtina33")

  • As others give me hints on other email programs I will edit this blog post to help.
